Pack the van!! I’m MOVING!!! {grand rapids area photographer}

No, I’m not really packing up and moving, but this website is changing! In an effort to help streamline my business and (hopefully) make things easier for my clients, I introduce…{drumroll}

callyredder.com

whoohoo!! :) Eventually, this page will not be here – so let’s all get used to the new kid on the block! Go ahead, take her for a spin – she works wonderfully on all mobile devices, as well! No more crazy flash! :) There is also a brand new proof ordering system for client galleries – hopefully much less complicated! {crossing fingers}

This first “real” year in business has been an amazing one! I’ve met and photographed so many wonderful people and had some fantastic experiences! If you’ve been a client, then I truly appreciate you entrusting me to document some very precious times in your lives. Now that I am a real, tax-paying, official, on-the-books kind of business, I have to tell you that I am no longer “portfolio building”. I will no longer be able to offer reduced-price photography packages. I love this whole photography thing, but it’s also something that takes me away from my family, and in order to make this a)profitable and b)worth my time, I will need to uphold my current prices. I appreciate your understanding!

It looks like another fun year is in store for Cally Redder Photography! I can’t wait! :)

PROM! ~ Ionia, Michigan Photographer

Last night was Ionia High School’s Prom! I had the honor of capturing images at a pre-prom dinner extravaganza at the historic John C. Blanchard House in downtown Ionia. These kids were great and I’m sure they all had an amazing time at their prom! Here are a few pics from the evening:

Butterflies! – Grand Rapids, Michigan Photographer

I’m going to make a bigger effort to blog some of my personal pictures, as well as my professional ones. I used to keep up a personal blog (primarily before Lila), but it’s been kind of, well, abandoned – in favor of more immediate updates on Facebook. So, here we go – an entry only about my family, and many pictures of my muse… my Lila Grace :)

In the past week, we have visited the Butterflies Are Blooming exhibit at the Frederik Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids twice! It’s an amazing experience – especially when accompanied by a 2 year old! The joy at seeing the fluttering colors prance by – the delight at being so close you could almost touch them – the hilarity of how crazy curly her hair got in the humid, 80 degree “weather”! If you get the chance, go see them – before long butterflies will really be blooming around here – it’s so nice to see grass instead of snow! Happy Spring, everyone!

Sweet TWO year old! ~ Ionia, Michigan Family Photographer

This photo session was with my muse – my favorite girl – my daughter! She amazes us every day with all that she can do and say! She is hilariously fun (most of the time – c’mon, she’s 2 – she has her moments) and absolutely sweet. Here is my little doll-

Let’s Get Physical! ~ East Lansing, Michigan Photographer

Saturday I traveled to East Lansing to do a shoot for a brand-spankin-new gym! The Anytime Fitness in Chandler Crossings is AWESOME! Tons of great equipment, cool classes you can’t find anywhere else, and the owners are pretty fantastic too! If you’re looking for a gym in the EL area, give them a try – I wish I lived closer! Check out their website!

It was definitely different photographing inanimate objects as opposed to running, jumping, crying toddlers! Kind of a nice change of pace…

I’ve arrived! ~ West Michigan Photographer

Hello out there blog-world! Welcome to the new-and-improved callyredderphotography.com! I look forward to sharing all my latest-and-greatest work with you! I can’t stop using exclamation points! A HUGE thank you to Andrew at deeluxdesign for all the help with the transition – check out his etsy shop if you’re in the market for anything blog/web-related.

Needless to say, the life of a photographer is kinda boring this time of year – everyone gets all their pics done in time for Christmas so the November/December rush leads to the January/February ho-hums.  That’s okay with me because it gives me some time to cook up some delicious new products and incentives! Stay tuned for more info on all of THAT! :)

Thanks for taking the time to read my little ramble and check back for more from Cally Redder Photography!
